In this unit, we’ll begin working with mathematical functions. Functions are a powerful tool for translating patterns from the real world into algebra. It’s important to keep the assumptions for functions abstract so we’re able to use the same mathematics for similar patterns across fields as diverse as child development, economics or astrophysics.  After successfully completing these videos, you'll be able to interpret and apply a data table.  This material is covered on pages 51-61 in our text.
