To build and use a linear function we'll need to find, and know the meaning of, the slope and the y-intercept. Our first video is about the y-intercept and our second is about slope. Today's lesson is covered in pages 127-148 in the Engaging Algebra textbook.
3.2 InterceptsAfter watching the first three videos you should be able to find, and discuss meaning of, intercepts. The last video shows you a common method for graphing a line using the x and y intercepts.
3.3 The Slope of a Linear Function
After watching these videos you should be able to find a slope algebraically and most importantly you should be able to discuss the meaning of an applied slope.
